A leading high-volume meat processing facility in the United States was facing a critical challenge in their primary processing area. The environment is a full USDA-regulated washdown facility with aggressive daily sanitation, constant exposure to raw meat, blood, and cleaning chemicals across the processing floor.
The existing workflow required operators to manually lift and transfer hundreds of kilograms of raw meat from large combo bins to the infeed of the main conveyor line. This manual process was creating severe ergonomic risk, with multiple employees suffering back and shoulder injuries. It was also a production bottleneck that limited the output of the entire line.

ALZARO's engineering team partnered with the client to develop a solution that would integrate seamlessly into the existing production workflow. The process began with a deep-dive consultation and on-site assessment to document operational needs, bin dimensions, conveyor heights, and the facility's stringent washdown protocols.

The final solution was a robust, all-stainless steel SS304 Column Lift engineered specifically for the demands of the meat processing floor. Key features include a ground-level pallet truck entry platform that allows a single operator to roll a full combo bin into position, completely eliminating manual lifting. The lift height was custom-engineered to the precise height of the client's conveyor, presenting product at a perfect ergonomic working height for operators to rake product onto the line. The fully washdown-ready SS304 power pack with a sealed NEMA 4 rated motor ensures maximum reliability under aggressive daily sanitation.
The impact was immediate. The primary ergonomic risk at the loading station was completely eliminated. A strenuous two-person manual lifting job was converted into a safe, single-operator process. Line throughput grew by an estimated 15% by ensuring a consistent flow of material to the conveyor, replacing the intermittent manual batch loading that had been the bottleneck.
